Sponsors

The Castle of Mey has attracted many supporters, including the following sponsors:

  • Land Rover / Jaguar
  • The Goring Hotel
  • Justerini and Brooks
  • Land Rover

Since the launch of the first ever 4x4 in 1948, Land Rover has stood for adventure and excellence - qualities that our company continues to reflect in everything we do.

    Heritage

Year by year, Land Rover models have redefined the world's 4x4 categories. Today, Defender, Freelander, Discovery and Range Rover have evolved to satisfy every requirement for urban style, comfort and unbeatable off-road capability.

    Sponsorship

Land Rover is proud to sponsor a range of carefully chosen organisations and events. We aim to provide a supportive link with varied organisations that share some of our passion for the great outdoors.

    Jaguar

Since the company was founded in 1922, Jaguar has evolved from the production of motorcycle sidecars to become one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of premium saloons and sports cars.

Through a significant list of updates and replacements Jaguar has established an inspiring combination of performance, comfort and driving enjoyment, with the ability to change character to reflect customer needs and desires.

At the heart of our product philosophy is a firm commitment to emotional engineering - the production of beautiful, fast cars that combine intelligent, relevant technologies and contemporary luxury. While modernisation is part of this commitment, we will not lose sight of our traditional values. Our customers are those who seek out and demand excellence.

Land Rover and Jaguar is immensely proud to be associated with the Castle of Mey. It has a tremendous depth of heritage and tradition that is fitting for its idyllic location in Scotland with its Royal connections.

The Friends of the Castle of Mey play a pivotal role in the upkeep and development of the Castle and its grounds. Land Rover and Jaguar are honored to be a founder sponsor of this great cause and on going commitments. The beautiful venue and stunning views provide an ideal back drop for us to share the experience with a number of exclusive partners who can experience first-hand the authenticity - which is a perfect fit for the Land Rover and Jaguar brands.

    The Goring Hotel

For almost a century four generations of the Goring family have run The Goring. Today the hotel is a bastion of quality and absolute individuality. Opened in 1910 by Otto Richard Goring, it was the first hotel in the world to have private bathroms and central heating in every room.

The Goring Hotel has supported the Castle of Mey for the last three years and is the chosen venue again this year for the Patrons' reception on the 20th May.

    Justerini & Brooks

The Friends of the Castle of Mey would like to thank Justerini & Brooks for their generosity in supporting the 2008 Friends and Patrons events by supplying the champagne and fine wines for Frogmore, The Goring, Highgrove and the Friends drinks party at Mey.
