FAQs

  • From May to September the Gardens & Grounds are open Wednesday to Sunday 10.30 – 16.00 (Castle first entry 11.00 last entry 15.00), we are closed every Monday and Tuesday. Full details on opening times here
  • We do not take bookings for tickets online or over the phone, tickets are only available in the gift shop on the day of your visit (with the exception of coaches)
  • We do not take bookings for the Tearoom, it is first come first served
  • Dogs are allowed in the grounds on a lead, we ask that you do not take them into the Castle, Walled Garden, Visitor Centre or Animal Centre. Water bowls are provided outside of the Tearoom
  • No photography is allowed in the Castle however we have a fantastic guide book with lots of beautiful photos inside
  • The Castle of Mey is an historic building and, consequently, disabled access is not possible to all parts of it. Full details on accessibility here
  • Please note the Visitor Centre is a cashless site; contactless and card payments only please.
