Opening Times

OPENING DATES FOR 2012

Normal opening times for The Castle and Gardens of Mey will be from 1 May to 30 September 2012 inclusive but will be closed from 26 July to 13 August inclusive although the closure dates may be subject to change this year, please check this site for updates.

Coach/group visits can be arranged in season and, by appointment, during April and October.

The castle is open every day from 10.20 am until last admission at 4.00 pm.

The visitor centre, tearoom, shop, grounds and animal centre are open every day during the normal season from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm.

Private garden tours starting at 4.00 pm with the Head Gardener will be available. Dates will be announced later. These tours must be booked and paid for in advance. Tel: 01847851531 to book.

*Tickets are purchased from the shop.

  • Visitors from abroad can pick up a translation of the castle information sheet in the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Mandarin.
  • Most major credit cards are accepted.
