Visiting with Dogs
We appreciate that some of our visitors take their dogs as well to enjoy the sights at the Castle of Mey. There is very little shade in the car park so if you are worried about leaving your dogs in the car, parking alongside the wall outside the car park will offer the best shade.
You are welcome to walk your dogs on a lead in the grounds, but please do not take them to the Castle, Animal Centre nor into the Walled Garden (unless they are guide dogs).
We ask that you please pick up after your pet and take any 'gifts' away with you. Please take great care in the presence of livestock, particularly cows with calves as their reaction to dogs can be very unpredictable.
Respect, Protect, Enjoy
VisitScotland has created some guidelines for travelling responsibly when you are planning your dream visit to Scotland.
